Library2go offers ebooks in several formats: OverDrive READ, EPUB, PDF and Kindle (.azw). The Kindle format only works on Kindle devices and the Kindle app. Amazon created this proprietary format to only work with their devices. EPUBs work on most devices except Kindles with Black and White screens. This may explain why you're not able to see "The Slap" on your Kindle, even though you downloaded it.

What kind of Kindle do you have? Does it have a black and white screen, or is the screen in color?

If you have a Kindle Fire (a Kindle with a color screen), you may be able to read "The Slap."

Do you have a copy of our handout on how to download ebooks to the Kindle? We have a handout for Kindles here.

If you've already looked at the handout and you're still confused, I recommend stopping by the library to meet with a reference librarian. We can walk you through the process and answer any questions you have on the spot.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions,
