Hello,

There are a few libraries (Oregon State Unviersity, Univerity of Oregon and the Oregon Historical Society in Portland) that have a single volume that is earlier than 1934.  They all have the 1913 volume of the Polk Directory for Linn and Benton County.  I checked our state library catalog (http://catalog.osl.state.or.us/screens/opacmenu_s2.html), but they do not have anything earlier than we do.

Our local Benton County Historical Society has a database of several business directories from 1867-1932, inlcuding the Polk Directory, so if you are looking for the business information or a name associated with a business, this may be helpful.  The database is available online here: http://www.bentoncountymuseum.org/research/directories.cfm

You can also contact the Historical Society here:  http://www.bentoncountymuseum.org/contact.cfm.  They may have more print directories, but I was unable to contact them today to confirm.

I hope this is helpful.

Carrie/Reference Librarian
